CYBER SECURITY ENGINEER MANAGER

 

What is this role about?

The mission of the Technical Security Centre team is to provide security expertise and best practices to other IT functions by ensuring consistent and high security standards are applied in the development and ongoing evolution of the JTI IT infrastructure and business applications. The scope includes, but is not limited to, corporate network, workstations, servers, mobile devices, business applications, Internet and related IT services. 

 

This position Cyber (Information) Security Engineer will help the TSC team to ensure the best security practices, solutions and techniques are applied in order to mitigate modern IT security risks and improve overall security posture in JTI.

 

The person will support and works closely with other TSC colleagues to help review new (technical) security solutions by helping with investigating, designing and delivering new security solutions. Also, the person will help maintaining and developing the existing security solutions, as well as providing security engineering expertise and knowledge to support other IT and Cyber Security teams.

 

Desirable:

• Knowledge in FMCG industry in specific Tobacco business if possible
• IT Security Architecture High Level and Low Level Design
• Preparation of Business cases to justify security investments
• Hands-on experience of administering IT security tools and components

 

What will you do?

• Preparation of market security solution benchmarks which contain security alternatives and  deployment proposals to increase the overall security and compliance of business & IT technologies used and planned to be used in the near future.
• Clear definition of business cases in which specific solutions/security strategies or procedures need to be deployed in JTI based on JTI Global and local business and IT Strategies and JTI Security Standards.
• Contact with third-parties and security solution vendors for:
  • Information gathering regarding interesting solutions / features deployment(s) for JTI.
  • Business case preparation and / or solution demo preparation(s).
  • Process and detailed application design
  • Requirements gathering
  • Proof of Concept Solution deployment.
• Help research of alternatives to current security solutions / procedures in case we need to apply exceptions in several cases for specific regions / countries based on legal or regulatory requirements, internal local procedures, etc.
• Research on security improvements in the IT infrastructure and network solutions, planning in conducting compatibility and feasibility evaluation in collaboration with responsible IT teams. Planning and supporting roll-out.
• Providing support of the security products and processes owned by Technical Security Center, contacting vendors' support, resolving issues, suggest configuration improvements.
• Supporting design and implementation of the products. Contributing to a design of operational processes around the products (RACI, diagrams, guides, etc.).
• Maintaining low-level technical documentation related to services and tools owned by Technical Security Center (descriptions, diagrams, knowledge base articles, wiki pages, guides, instructions, etc.)

 

Who are we looking for?

• University degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or relevant experience
• 5 years of Technical Security product/solution management and experience in the IT environment of an international corporation or security solution vendor:
• Identifying security technologies to address business and IT requirements.
• Supporting security teams on the design, architecture, roll-out and maintenance of security solutions.
• Designing and maintaining documentation around security solutions (RACI, diagrams, guides, etc.).
• Adjusting security team's roadmap based on new business and IT technologies 
• Excellent organization and communication skills. Analytical, organized and efficient.
• Pre-sales and/or project experience on security solutions, design and architecture.
• Technical hands-on experience of deploying and maintaining of IT security tools and components.
• Experience with automation, API integration and scripting."                                            
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Japanese speaker is a bonus.
• Analytical/problem solving ability.
• Ability to understand security requirements in a business context
