As our Staff Firmware Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:   Representing the company as the technical expert to internal & external customers and partners Implementing firmware for feature requests, Custom Product Offerings (CPOs), and bug fixes Having an integral role in the creation of POCs, Demos, and Prototypes Configuring test environments to replicate and troubleshoot customer-reported issues Preparing documentation to capture requirements for Custom Product Offerings (CPOs) Preparing documentation for specialized seminars, application notes, and technical papers Providing customer feedback to product management, marketing, and engineering teams Your Experience and Education include:         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Minimum 7 years of experience in hands-on embedded development or similar role Senior level knowledge of the C programming language C# and Python nice to have Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing Must have excellent telephone/interpersonal/communication skills Who you are as a Team Member: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal  Willingness to ‘roll up sleeves’ and dive deep into tactical work when necessary Good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn and continue to grow professionally Strong team player and ability to work well with others Why Should You Apply?
