As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web products, APIs, as well as maintaining corresponding Test Suites. You will help modernize existing eCommerce architecture and write new applications and services for users that are doing their purchases online. You will work closely with Product owner and other engineering teams to implement the company's business initiatives. We are working on a platform eCommerce ecosystem that serves around 2 million people in the US. Project has around 15 different applications running(and growing) in order to create the best experience for our customers as well as owners of a business. Market expansion and new features/services are the main priority for a company right now, so we alway looking for motivated people joining a team to be able to server incoming market demand. Responsibilities Be part of the team which maintains different applications Be a proactive team member that willing to learn and help others Develop scalable and reliable backend applications API development Test Suites development Understand & operate various 3rd party web tools/services/platforms Suggest & implement web-based solutions for business needs Show enthusiasm for your job! Skills And Qualifications 2+ years professional engineering experience Strong understanding of data flow in the HTTP protocol Proficiency in PHP Good knowledge of Laravel/Symfony/Magento frameworks (one or two of those) Experience with raw PHP coding (without frameworks, legacy code) Experience with MySQL, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB Strong Git and GitHub skills REST API Development Writing testable code Using issue tracker as a means of communications Strong communication skills (ask questions, propose solutions, teamwork!)
