Title: Communications SpecialistRequesting Office: USAID/Ukraine Work Mode: Remote with On-Site or In-Country support as needed. (Must operate on Ukraine time zone- at 6 hours a day) TDYs: 4 TDY trips, 3 weeks long each, to Kyiv per year Vistant (formally PMCG), recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies across the country and the region by Inc. 5000, Financial Times, Washington Technology, and the Baltimore Business Journal, is a public-sector management consulting firm serving federal international development, healthcare, and social services agencies. Vistant is seeking a Communications Specialist in support of USAID/Ukraine. The Communications Specialist will write and edit a wide range of public and internal information products, as well as develop charts, graphs, and other visuals as needed. Provide information reporting support to USAID/Ukraine. Collect and synthesize information pertaining to Mission efforts, and draw upon that information to draft, edit, appropriately format, and disseminate a wide range of internal and external information products. The Communications Specialist will work under the supervision of the Senior Communications Advisor or his/her designee. S/he will serve as the main DOC liaison with the Office of Democracy and Governance, which has 18 different implementing partners. S/he will be the lead on compiling and editing the Mission's social media for review by the Senior Communications Advisor. Previous USAID (or USAID implementing partner) experience, familiarity with social media platforms, copywriting/editing experience, and the ability to liaise with multiple partners would all be valuable. The person selected for the role would need to have the ability to work independently and understand the demanding, high-profile nature of work in Ukraine. The Communications Specialist will attend meetings and collaborate closely with staff, Ukrainian and international stakeholders, implementing partners, and others to ensure that all relevant humanitarian information is obtained and communicated to USAID internal and external audiences. Gather information for or participate in meetings, and site visits. Work with geographic information colleagues and graphic designers to develop analytic and visual information products that support the Mission's response and reporting. Prepare talking points, memos, PowerPoint presentations, official cables, and other correspondence. Assist with the preparation of agendas and briefings for USG officials interested in USAID/Ukraine. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree. Must possess excellent writing, editing, and verbal communications skills and have exceptional attention to detail. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and have the ability to work under tight deadlines in an extremely fast-paced and collaborative environment. Requires the demonstrated ability to work well with others and meet deadlines in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Requires knowledge of, and interest in economic development issues. Fluency in English is required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Facility Access Clearance.
