As part of the Rendering Services team you will be developing and operating our global map rendering services: https://www.here.com/docs/category/map-rendering and upcoming services. You will be working in an international team comprising of software engineers, devops, architects and QA You will have the opportunity to work with highly available services, large collections of data and varied software services You will help us scaling our solutions to new customer demand You will be instrumental in our goal to optimize our services for high performance and availability, as well as cost efficiency Responsibilities: Ensuring that our services are stable, secure and running with high-performance on a globally distributed compute platform (AWS, Kubernetes) Enabling and supporting continuous deployment of our services (Gitlab) Extending our service deployments to new AWS regions Monitoring and optimizing our services and infrastructure for scalability and cost efficiency Analysing and fixing issues and bugs in our services Jointly working with our software engineers on development of our new services Qualifications: M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience Proficiency in infrastructure scripting using languages like Python, GO, BASH Solid analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Understanding of challenges in development of performant and cost efficient systems Knowledge of Kubernetes and Cloud Platforms like AWS as well as related tooling Good oral and written English communication skills Strong team player Strong motivation to learn Self-motivated Nice to haves: Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as GitLab Experience with "Infrastructure as Code" principles Experience of working knowledge of a programming language like C++, Rust / Interest in software engineering and developing services in Rust Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana What we offer: A great work-life balance Hybrid or remote model of work Challenging problems to solve Collaborative and encouraging colleagues Opportunities to learn, grow and develop: company hackathons, technical talks, and trainings Regular feedbacks Flexible working hours Competitive salary plus bonus This role is eligible for Creative Tax Incentive scheme in Poland” or KUP (Autorskie Koszty Uzyskania Przychodu) B2B contract possible
