Position responsibilities Tetra Tech will mobilize energy efficiency investments in the commercial and industrial sectors and support initiatives that reduce energy consumption through conservation and technological advancements that will ultimately lead to lower costs for all energy consumers. Tetra Tech will seek to facilitate at least $1 billion in demand-side management investments, primarily from the private sector. Tetra Tech has an opportunity for a suitable candidate to serve as Deputy Lead, Industrial Energy Efficiency under SPARC. The Deputy Lead, Industrial Energy Efficiency will oversee a multidisciplinary team of experts and develop energy efficiency interventions in the commercial and industrial sector. Position responsibilities Work closely with the Component 2 Lead and the Strategic Advisor on Energy Efficiency on the implementation and monitoring of activities concerning industrial energy efficiencySupport the Component 2 Lead on progress reports, annual workplans and MELPCoordinate subcontractors and other technical experts for the implementation of activities under Component 2 concerning industriesCoordinate technical inputs for the industrial EE action planLead on-site technical work and analytical studies concerning energy efficiency in industriesSupport engagement with donors and other financiersSupport the design and delivery of capacity-building to national stakeholdersProvide training and represent SPARC in conferences, workshops, and other events Minimum qualifications Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with equivalent combination of experience and education in engineering, economics, finance, or a related fieldAt least 8 years of experience in the energy sectorAt least 3 years of experience with assessment and preparation of energy efficiency projects for industriesSound experience on industrial energy audits and techno-economic studies for industrial EE measuresExperience in industrial energy managementSound knowledge of EU and national regulations on industrial EEDemonstrated experience on IFI financing of energy efficiency projectsExperience supervising, managing, and motivating large teams from diverse backgrounds and skill setsExcellent written and verbal communicationFluency in English Valued qualifications Fluency in Ukrainian or RussianStrong organization/analytical skills; experience working with detailed technical data and reportsAccreditation on energy audits and/or energy management standardsKnowledge of process-related best practices on EEExperience working on USAID or other donor-funded projects Line management responsibility SPARC personnel working on industrial energy efficiency such as process specialists, energy management experts, finance, and carbon management specialists. Physical demands & work environment Travel within Ukraine and abroad may be required. The role requires presence in SPARC’s office in Kyiv and can involve hybrid work in accordance with Tetra Tech policies and at the discretion of SPARC’s Chief of Party.
