Manufacturing Services Manager
What this position is about - Purpose:
For the candidate the overall objective is to coordinate and manage the project in the following Manufacturing Services areas:
- Production & capacity planning, material requirements planning and procurement of production materials, new product implementation, and changes
- Warehouse & logistics, inbound and outbound flows of goods and services
- Customer service and communication with customers
What will you do - Responsibilities:
Planning and New Product Development
- Tobacco and non-tobacco production materials planning to maintain optimal stock level
- Finished goods planning to ensure timely availability and delivery dates are met
- New product introductions, changes and discontiunations based on forecast and firmed orders from served Markets.
- Cooperation with the global funtions - Global Planning, GBS and R&D to ensure overall strategic plans, and company standards.
- Investigate and make recommendations regarding improved manufacturing processes, procedures, and cost reductions that might be feasible in any phase of the manufacturing process, applying best practices.
Procurement activities
- Tobacco and non tobacco production materials, collaboration with Suppliers.
- Ensure all related activities are in line with JTI operating guidelines, procedures and code of coduct. "
Warehousing
- Goods receipt, internal handling and periodical stock take of tobacco / non tobacco production materials
- Internal handling, shipments and periodical stock take of finished goods
- Manage outside warehousing in case of need
- Ensure the inventory integrity and optimization, shelf live management, and FIFO process in the logistics area
Customer Service & Logistics:
- Ensure high customer service level, communication, and transparency with all customers and GBS
- Coordination of all required inbound and outbound transports related to machinery, finished goods, and production materials in coordination with GBS, Global Logistics and Suppliers and in accordance with local legislation.
Policies and MS budget:
- Implement policies for the continuous improvement of quality, productivity, delivery and operating costs relating to materials planning purchasing, storage, and transportation.
- Plan Manufacturing Services budget and head count in line with company goals and stratigic plans.
People Management and Compliance:
- Recruit, motivate, and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and task distribution.
- Ensure all Manufacturing Services related activities comply with legal requirements, JTI Policies and Procedures, JTI Code of Conduct and local Process Management procedures."
Health and Safety:
- Understand health and safety hazards and risks relevant to their department, function, or process. Ensure that appropriate control measures are known and implemented in order to maintain a healthy and safe workplace for employees within their area of responsibility.
- Ensure that safety methods are developed and all employees receive appropriate health & safety training and required qualifications, and are competent to do the work safely.
- Know Legal and JTI health and safety requirements applicable to their department, function, or process and ensure compliance.
- Promote a positive safety culture, actively demonstrate commitment to health and safety, lead by example, and take actions to continuously improve health and safety performance.
IWS:
- Demonstrate servant leadership while utilizing IWS knowledge to build team capabilities, removing the barriers that could be faced
- Participating in Daily/Weekly/Monthly DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings and fulfilling the necessary DMS (Daily Management Systems) responsibilities and taking accountabilities of MAS-related escalation points
Other:
- Ensure the JSOX controls are executed in department and keep relevant documentation, in full compliance with J-SOX GRM rules
- Perform various tasks and projects as they arise and upon direct manager’s request.
Who are we looking for - Requirements:
- University degree in engineering or business
- 3+ years as a manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an international FMCG company
- Fluency in English, Arabic is a plus; PC literacy: MS Office, advanced knowledge of SAP a plus
