Planning and Direct Purchasing Associate
What this position is about – Purpose:
As the Planning and Direct Purchasing Associate, you will be responsible for preparing adn executing material procurement plans to support production needs and align with market demands. You will oversee daily planning and tracking to ensure materials are ordered and delivered in a timely manner, maintaining optimal inventory levels.
What will you do – Responsibilities:
- Material Planning and Procurement: Develop, implement, and maintain material plans using SAP/IBP parameters to meet production requirements and inventory targets. Ensure accurate and timely material ordering while coordinating with suppliers to meet production timelines.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Prepare and maintain various forms and reports to track goal achievement, analyze inventory, and optimize warehouse space utilization. Prevent unnecessary write-offs through diligent monitoring.
- Compliance and Transparency: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and support transparent processes for audits.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with different departments to prioritize urgent needs, address supplier issues, and coordinate procurement activities to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
- Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and implement improvement actions as needed to maintain high levels of quality and efficiency.
Who are we looking for – Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, humanities, technology, or engineering.
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in production planning, procurement, or logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
